N2 - This article has been retracted: please see Elsevier policy on article withdrawal (https://www.elsevier.com/about/policies-and-standards/article-withdrawal). This article has been retracted at the request of the Editor-in-Chief. A post-publication investigation conducted by the journal Editors in collaboration with Elsevier's Research Integrity & Publishing Ethics team could not confirm whether the ethical approval given for the research presented in this publication was in line with the journal's policy. Additionally, the journals editorial team identified concerns with the data. In the original submission, authors stated that a link to the electronic form was emailed to about 2003 DE postgraduate learners at the University of Cape Coast, and responses from 942 learners were received and used for this study. However, during revision these figures were changed to 1898 DE postgraduate learners at the UCC, with responses from 1142 learners, without any explanation. The journal requested the authors to comment on these concerns and to provide the raw dataset for evaluation. The corresponding author was unable to provide a satisfactory response, and did not provide a dataset for review. As it cannot be established whether the article complies with the journals policies on ethical approval or data integrity, the editorial team no longer retains confidence in the validity of the results, and has decided to retract this article. The authors have not responded to the retraction notice.
