Abstract

Prostate cancer is one of the most common types of cancer affecting men worldwide. It arises from the cells in the prostate gland, a small organ below the bladder that produces seminal fluid. The significance of prostate cancer lies not only in its high prevalence but also in its potential to cause significant morbidity and mortality if not diagnosed and treated at an early stage. This chapter aims to explore the current state of prostate cancer diagnosis, discuss existing diagnostic tools, highlight challenges faced in diagnosis, and present promising developments for early detection.
