Abstract

This chapter examines the routines, practices and business model of the Business and Financial Times (B&FT) newspaper to establish what has accounted for its unremitting success over the past three decades in a context where business and economic journalism niches do not particularly thrive. To accomplish this, some key informants within the B&FT were interviewed to provide their perspectives on what accounts for the success of the B&FT, including the evolutions the paper has witnessed over the years, its impact, sources of revenue, challenges and how B&FT is positioning itself to stay relevant and to continue to thrive in the long term.
